Received appreciation letter for my poetry from Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
My poetry is eclectic in nature and covers various themes. I write free verse poetry.
'Great Heights', which was released in 2003 is a poetry collection in free verse style with 24 poems on various themes especially nature. The poem, 'Little children' belonging to this collection was appreciated by the 'Missile Man', Dr. Kalam. In his foreword to this book, Dr.Krishna Srinivas has said - 'At this tender age, Padmapriya pours out poems - Socratic in wisdom and Pindaric in excellence." Reviews of this book appeared in 'The Hindu' newspaper and in other national newspapers in India.
This is my second collection of 60 poems, which was released in 2005. It has been written in free verses. Dr. Krishna Srinivas in his foreword to this book says - "Padmapriya's poetry is simple but charged and profound, apocalyptic and prophetic. With epic sonority and majesty, she celebrates humanity and this universe. The entire cosmos, time and space are the canvas of her poetry and in a way it is majestic and ethereal. Her cosmography stretches beyond the bounds of nation, people & religion
There are 44 poems in free verse in this collection of poems. In his foreword to her third collection of poems, ‘Galaxy’, Professor S.Jagapathy has said: “If Sarojini Naidu was the nightingale of Indo-Anglian poetry, Padmapriya is a waterfall. I am able to identify the speciality in her as the youthful, fresh and unalloyed fountain of a healthy world view, stamped with an Indian philosophic insight in her. "
A psychological, adventurous, inspiring, quasi-historical and original novel!
